You control your destiny. Life is a series of choices; some are smart, some are lame. Often, it is the choices that seem bad from which we learn the most. So, from a spiritual perspective, those "bad" choices are not bad at all. We are here to live and learn; to grow and to develop ourselves; and, to have some fun, too.

All of us in the human form have lessons to learn, and some of us learn quicker than others. If someone seems to be having recurring negative experiences, it is because he or she has not learned the lesson from them. This will continue until the lesson is learned, or the soul will return in the next life to live in the same manner. It really is much simpler than it seems.

God loves all people, especially those who choose the light. It is our choice. We can choose to be in the light with the Lord, or we can turn away from it to total darkness. Why anyone would choose to turn away is indeed a mystery; some are afraid that they are not good enough, that they have sinned and, therefore, do not belong in the light. This is poppycock; all men belong in the light. Those who were very evil on the earth cannot get as close, but they can share in the warmth. They must come back and live many lifetimes on this plane in order to repay, or to learn the things they did not learn. They must suffer at the hand as others had suffered at theirs. But they will all eventually go into the light; it is God's way. He has an amazing capacity for forgiveness, as we all do on this side.

If God is so knowing and so powerful and so LOVING, then why are there such tragedies on earth? Simple. The whole process here on this plane is a learning ground. The spirit makes a pact with the Lord ahead of time; together they decide what lessons need to be learned, and what experiences need to be had. The spirit loses conscious memory of this once in the human form, for it would defeat the purpose. The learning has to come naturally.

You do not have to feel guilty for any decisions that you make in YOUR best interest. Remember this when the times get rough. You must do what is right for you; do not be overly concerned about how others feel about it. It is your life; YOUR life and no one, NO ONE has the right to try to live it for you. That is blasphemy!! Each of us is to live our life according to our own prescripts and precepts. This is the Word of the Lord, He knows that each man must find his way in this world, to learn the things he must learn before he can join his heavenly father.

Do not be afraid of the unknown, only the fear of trying will ever hurt you. No harm can come to your soul when you are doing God’s work, when you are living in the light and loving all men as you should. God loves you all, He cannot wait until you join Him in His heavenly embrace. For now, He watches over you all and protects you from undo harm. Do not forget Him when something that seems terrible happens to seemingly nice people. There is much to be learned from misfortune and suffering. Remember that each of us chooses our lesson to be learned, so deep down, the person suffering is indeed getting what they asked for.

See the brilliant light; it is but a sampling of what lies in store for all who pass. Those who are pure on this plane will have the chance to bask in the warmth of it’s light; the rest can get close but cannot touch it completely, for they must return to learn the lessons yet won. There are several different levels of light: there is the BIG light, the main one that surrounds God; then there is the light of holiness in the afterlife; and then, there is the light that is the path. This is the light that those who die, but do not, see and the one they report of upon their return.

You are the captain of your own ship, the ruler of your destiny and the designer of your own fate. How much more simple can it be? No one makes you, but YOU. No one steers your course of action but you. There may be obstacles in your way, true. IF you get rid of the ones that are self-imposed, you'll soon be trouble free. The other ones are there to help you grow a mite along the way.
